Best for: Residents in other Colorado cities (Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, etc.) needing fast turnaround.
Includes: You overnight your pre-notarized documents from anywhere in Colorado to our office. We intercept the package, execute a same-day or next-day hand-delivery to the SOS in Denver, and dispatch the authenticated documents back to you via FedEx/UPS.
Required: your documents must already be notarized by a Colorado notary. We do not notarize documents that arrive by mail. Check the requirements list.

State Fees, Receipt & Turnaround
Colorado State Fees & Turnaround (Per Document)
You choose the option when you book. State fees are billed separately at cost and may change if the State updates them.
Itemized receipt, start to finish: every charge in the Apostille process is listed separately on your receipt, from notarization to final delivery:
- Notarization: $15 per notarial act (Colorado maximum), always on its own line. For Full-Service, it is itemized within the $150 base rate.
- Apostille / courier service: the rest of the base rate for the option you chose.
- Travel or mileage: only if it applies.
- Colorado State fees: $15 same-day or $5 standard per document, at cost.
- Return shipping: at cost, if it applies.
Important Disclaimer: Processing times are determined solely by the Secretary of State's office workload and procedures. I do not control or guarantee the exact return time of any government-processed document.

Colorado Secretary of State Apostille Checklist
Most rejections at the Secretary of State come from small notary mistakes: a missing county, a missing date, or an incomplete stamp. Check your documents against this list before you mail or drop them off.

The notary certificate must show:
- The state and county where it was notarized (e.g., "State of Colorado, County of Douglas").
- The exact date of notarization, not pre- or post-dated.
- The correct wording for the act: acknowledgment or jurat (oath).
- The notary's signature, matching the one on file with the Secretary of State.
- A clear, complete stamp: notary's name, "Notary Public," "State of Colorado," notary ID number and commission expiration date.
- A commission that was active on the date of notarization.

The document must:
- Be the original with an ink signature, not a photocopy or scan.
- Have no blank spaces left unfilled.
- Be notarized by a Colorado notary (documents notarized in another state are authenticated in that state).
- For birth, marriage or death records: be a certified copy from the issuing office. A notary cannot certify copies of public records.
- Not ask the notary to certify that someone is alive, or include legal statements the notary isn't allowed to make.

Apostille FAQ
Yes. The Local Denver Courier and Statewide Expedited Courier are only for documents that are already notarized by a Colorado notary. I do not notarize documents that arrive by mail. If you still need the notarization, choose the Full-Service Apostille (local only).
Almost always because of small notary mistakes: a missing county, a missing date, an incomplete or blurry stamp, wrong certificate wording, or blank spaces left in the document. They also reject copies a notary is not allowed to certify, such as birth certificates. Check the requirements list before you send anything.
Full-Service is local only: Castle Rock and the Denver Metro area. Outside this area I can travel if the mileage fee is paid. If you live far away, the easiest option is to have your documents notarized by a Colorado notary near you and use the Statewide Expedited Courier.
No. The Colorado Secretary of State only authenticates signatures of Colorado notaries and officials. A document notarized in another state must go to that state's Secretary of State. Federal documents (for example, FBI background checks) are authenticated by the U.S. Department of State.
